Which social work career employs the most people?
The social work career that employs the most people is child, family and school social work, much the largest of these occupations at 392,550 jobs out of 985,250 across all five, and it is also the lowest paid of them. Size and pay do not track each other in either direction here: social and community service managers are the second largest group and the best paid, while social workers not otherwise classified are the smallest and the second best paid.
